Obituary

Aminah Ayesha Coage affectionately known as “Mimi” was a bright spirit who left an unforgettable mark on everyone she met. Born on May 30,1984, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Ronda Coage and Donald McConney, she transitioned from this life on November 30, 2025, leaving behind memories that will forever warm our hearts. Aminah attended school in Roselle, NJ and graduated from Linden High School.

Aminah was truly one of a kind—fun-loving, charismatic, and full of life. She had a natural ability to light up a room, drawing people in with her infectious laugh, her vibrant personality, and the kindness she shared so freely. Whether she was cracking a joke, supporting a friend, or simply being her authentic self, she made every moment feel more joyful.

Even during her illness, her presence brought color, comfort, and connection. She cherished her family deeply, and we, in turn, cherished every moment with her. She always embraced each day with a sense of adventure and heart.

Aminah is survived by her son Jahzir Brunson who resides with his father Joseph Brunson in North Carolina; her devoted grandmother and caretaker Lorraine Coage, grandfather Henry Patrick, Jr., parents Ronda, Donald and bonus dad Edward Figgs, Sr; her siblings, Nayesha, Shanice, Edward Jr., Donald Jr; bonus siblings Kathy Lee, Darius, Kerah, Isaiah and Kayanna, her favorite aunt April, and other aunts/uncles, cousins, bonus nieces and nephews, along with countless loved ones and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
