Antonio Carlos Johnson, affectionately known as "Little Tony" was born on May 8, 1986, to Wanda Stockling and Antonio Johnson in Elizabeth, NJ. Six years later, his mother Wanda, met and married Anthony Carter who helped raise little Tony as his very own. Tony's first years of life were spent in Elizabeth until the family relocated to Roselle, New Jersey. Tony attended the Roselle / Linden Public School system where he graduated from Linden High School in 2004. After High School, Tony entered the workforce where he was employed at a local Warehouse Distribution Center in Linden, New Jersey. Several years later, Tony met Jessica, who became the love of his life. Their desire for change led them to relocate to Tampa, Florida. He began his career in the construction industry working for American Builders Supply Incorporated in Brandon, Florida, until his untimely passing. Tony had a passion for entertaining, shopping, cooking on the grill, and a love for football and tattoos... but more importantly, he loved his family and close personal friends more than anything. As a protector and provider, he expressed his love for being a caregiver to Ms. Lucy, Jessica's mom. Anyone who knew Tony would tell you he possessed the most wonderful jovial spirit, and in his presence, you were bound to have an enjoyable time. Tony, who was raised by God-fearing parents, knew the importance of having a relationship with Christ and acknowledged the Lord as his Personal Savior. He even incorporated his love for God in his tattoos. He had the Lord's Prayer scripted on his ribs and God's Child tatted on the windows of his soul. Antonio Carlos Johnson unexpectedly departed his earthly home on January 27, 2024. Tony was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and grandfather Evelyn and Isham Stockling and his paternal great-grandmother Eulalie Wheeler Johnson. Tony leaves to cherish his memories his parents Wanda and Anthony Carter of Roselle NJ, his father; Antonio Johnson of Roselle NJ, his paternal grandmother; Corine "Sugar" Sargent of Roselle NJ, his sisters and brother; Jasmine Walker of Princeton NC, Sophia Johnson of Princeton NC, Antoinette (Billy) Surles, of Princeton NC, Antonio Carlos Johnson III of Rahway NJ and A’jee Johnson of Rahway NJ, his nieces and nephews; Tia, Taciyah, Samuel III, Tezmyne', Nasir, Anthony, Nevaeh, Namir, Nyla, Billy III, and Lyric, a special friend Jessica Marrero, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
