Denise Louise Young was born on October 29,1957 in Elizabeth, NJ to Mary E. Walker(Daily) and Edward T. Nettles. Ms. Denise was a fun & caring woman who loved her family and friends dearly. She had a way with children they all loved “Aunt Neicy.” 

She was an important part of so many lives. You could always count on a Nature walk or a phone call with a funny joke. 

Denise loved to live life to the fullest. Laughing, dancing, trips to Atlantic City, or trips with the kids in the summertime.

Denise made her transition to glory on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Aristicare at Parkside. She gave cancer the fight of its life. Denise was predeceased by her mom & dad and her oldest son Cassen Nettles. 

She leaves to cherish fond memories her son JaQuan, her sister Charlene, her niece/goddaughter Jasmine, 3 grandchildren Ishmil, Zarius, Alena, 3 great nephews Yasier, Jamaar, & Lamont, great niece Jaliya, 1 great grandson Kaiel and a host of other family members and friends
