Obituary

Keith Alwyn Haynes Sr. was born on May 25, 1958, in Georgetown, Guyana to the late Enid Elvira Haynes and late John Noble. He was the brother of Colin Mahaica and Valerie Edwards. In 1961, Keith and his family relocated to Wortmanville, Georgetown where he was educated at Smith Church School. In 1987, Keith immigrated to the United States of America where he settled in Brooklyn, New York. Keith gained employment at New York Presbyterian Hospital where he worked for 20+ years until his early retirement. In 1994 Keith would marry and become a devoted husband to his wife, Sherry. They would spend the next 31 years building and sharing a beautiful family together. He was the father of Jennifer Ramraj, and the late Keith Haynes Jr. Keith was a cricket, and horse racing fanatic and spent most weekends watching both. Keith was fondly known as Piggy Bumper to his childhood friends, and Gabby to his horse racing circle. In his later years, Keith enjoyed a simple life preferring to spend time at home with his family. His greatest joy was listening to Beres Hammond and rocking away with his grandson, Jonathan. Keith Alywn leaves behind his wife, Sherry; daughter, Jennifer; Grandson, Jonathan; Brother, Colin; Sister, Valerie; Sister in law, Annette; Brother in law, Walter, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as many other family members and loving friends from his childhood to present.
