IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Edward
Clark
September 8, 1966 – November 26, 2023
James Edward Clark, Jr., the son of the late James Edward Clark, Sr., and Gloria Ann Clark, was born on
September 8, 1966, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was known as "Jamie" by his family and friends. He
attended Linden High School; upon graduation, he pursued a career in trucking. Thanks to the late
Dorothy Holmes (Jamie’s Aunt), he met the love of his life, Patricia Chambers of Rahway, NJ. From this
union, they were blessed with three beautiful children: Kirstin, Isaiah, & Jairus. Throughout his life, James was employed at multiple establishments, including Fedex Freight and Evo Transportation, which was his most recent place of employment. Jamie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast; he was a dedicated "Harley Man." Jamie was also everyone’s personal road map; he loved taking family and friends on road trips to various locations across the country. If you were ever lost or needed to find your way, you could always count on Jamie to laugh and
help get you back on the right path. Jamie was a dedicated and devoted member of Holy Mountain Church of God in Christ for over 34 years.
He served as a minister, organist, choir director, and an excellent Sunday School teacher. His gift of biblical understanding was translated into his teachings, enabling all to enjoy the Sunday School lessons. Recently, Jamie was appointed the Superintendent of the NJ Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional Sunday School Department. He obtained the Old Testament survey certification at the Charles H Mason Bible Institute, where he was on track to complete his elders license. On Sunday, November 26, 2023, James Edward Clark, Jr., went home to be with the Lord. Jamie leaves to cherish fond memories: his beautiful wife of 34 years, Evangelist Patricia Clark; three children, Kirstin Smith (Alexander), Isaiah Clark, and Jairus Clark (Dominique); Sister, Sharon Taylor (Mark); Sister-in- Laws, Deborah Blackwell and Sharon Chambers; Nephew, Keith Clark (Amanda); Nieces, Rachel Shell (Jamison), Shanae Clark, Lawren Taylor; Uncles, Rufus McCrea (Mary) and Charles McCrea (Vera); Aunt, Patricia McCrea; three grandchildren, AJ, Alexus, and Alisha Smith, along with a host of great nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends. Jamie was a man of God filled with joy. You could always count on him for a word of encouragement
followed by a good laugh. He will be greatly missed by all.
Humbly submitted,
The Family
