Ronald Williams, the oldest child of the late Herbert Anderson and Essie (Morgan) Anderson, was born on September 7, 1933, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He departed this life on May 30, 2024, at Cornell Care and Rehabilitation Center in Union, New Jersey.

Ronald lived in Plainfield, New Jersey, as a young boy and later became active in the United States Air Force, where he often spoke of his travels in Germany. He was an accomplished boxer and trained for the Golden Gloves title.

After serving in the Air Force, Ronald settled in Newark, New Jersey, where he met and married the love of his life, the late Alice N. (Littlejohn) Williams. In the early 1960s, during the riots, Ronald moved his family out of Newark for safety and bought a home in Roselle, New Jersey.

Ronald had a long and dedicated career as a toll collector for the New Jersey Turnpike, retiring after more than 30 years of service.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alice N. (Littlejohn) Williams, and his sister, Bernice Anderson.

Ronald leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Adrienne Fearrington of Roselle, NJ; his son, Ronald A. (Allyson) Williams of Austin, TX; and his daughter, Hope Johnson-Yow of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Litanya (Robert) Reavis-Woehlke, Dana (Simmone) Fearrington, and Darell Williams; three great-grandchildren, Sterling, Dallas, and Samson; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Sweatte; his best friend, James Brazil; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
