Sandra Camille Coco, lovingly known as "Ruthie," illuminated this world with her presence, and her memory will forever shine in our hearts. She was born on October 30, 1945, in Twin Oaks, Pennsylvania, to her birth parents, Samuel Laury, Sr. (Bernice Laury' Waters) and Philomena Zawadzki. Later in her life, she found her second family with her adopted parents, the late Dr. George H. Jones DDS and the late Ruth Thompson, whose love and guidance shaped her journey. Before her journey to Howard University, during her formative years at Westfield High, Sandra's close-knit circle of friends, affectionately known as "The Gang of 8," consisted of William Bill' Peterson, Joyce, Diana, Andrea, Mary Louise, Gilbert, and Mary Fitch. Together, they experienced life's ups and downs, sharing in the joys and sorrows that helped shape the bonds of their enduring lifelong friendship. She was an active servant in the church, where she worked closely with the Church food pantry, exemplifying her dedication to helping those in need Despite her valiant battle against cancer and an array of underlying health conditions, Sandra remained a beacon of infectious laughter and an unwavering ability to brighten any room with her presence. Her outgoing demeanor and her love for a good drink were hallmarks of her unique character.
